Cake & Happiness is so very much coherently related, that to everyone, one thing means the other!

Be it a simple egg cake or eggless... the name of the Cake will turn your mood on.... Isn’t?

Having a headache since morning, thought of baking a cake, but something different to make my mood... So, for the first time tried to make a wheat cake ...

Do you know, it always happens with me... sometimes the cake won't rise, no matter what you do, and every now and again the cake tastes better than you ever could have dreamed it would. And this time.... it turned out nice but the top was somewhat dull, so did frosting with Choco and Almond milk... and Here it is before you? Isn’t Fabulous! It tastes yummy!

Give a try with wheat flour.... and have the happiness.... no.. no... either have it or eat it!

I just ate it ! It’s Awesome! .



Components of Concoction:


For the cake:

  • 1 ½ cups of wheat flour (or all purpose flour if you want) 180 grams

  • ¼ cup cocoa powder (good quality cocoa)

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 cup Water (can use milk)

  • 1/2 cup oil

  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice (or apple cider vinegar)

  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla essence

For the chocolate sauce

  • ¾ almond cup milk

  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

  • 4 to 6 tablespoon sugar (or powdered sugar)

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla esssence

Let’s make it :

Preheat the oven/ cooker. Grease a round cake pan & sprinkle some flour on it. Set it aside. Mix 1 ½ cups wheat flour, ¼ cup cocoa powder, 1/4tsp salt and 1 tsp baking soda. Sieve the wheat flour mix 3-4 times to aerate the flour. This makes the cake light. Add 1 cup fine sugar and mix it well. Or, If you are using coarse one then you can also dissolve it in 1 cup water. (I use sugar water) .

Make a space in the center. Pour 1 cup water, 1/2 cup oil 1 tbsp vanilla essence and 1 tbsp lemon juice or vinegar. Gently mix well from the liquid ingredients in the center, until the flour is combined well with the wet ingredients. Pour it to the cake pan. Knock it a few times against the kitchen slab to release air bubbles. Bake for 35-40 mins. Check after 25 mins. The bake time may vary depending on the pan size and the oven. So Just bake it until a knife or a tester inserted comes out clean. Allow it to cool down for 8 to 10 mins in the pan. Then Invert eggless chocolate cake gently on a big plate and allow it to cool.

For the frosting:

Mix together ¾ cup almond milk, 2 tablespoons cocoa, 1 tsp vanilla extract & 4 to 6 tbsps sugar. Cook on a low heat stirring constantly until slightly thick & creamy. Taste it and add more sugar if needed. Cool completely. Place the cake on a plate or a tray that can hold the excess dripping from chocolate sauce. Pour the chocolate frosting on the warm eggless chocolate cake. Spread with spatula. The yummy chocolate Wheat cake is ready to be pounced on ! You can Garnish with any piece of chocolate.
